As the final week before I depart for Costa Rica comes to an end… I am quickly getting more anxious and nervous to begin this new journey. The week has consisted of many farewells to my friends. Everyone is so excited for me to go on this trip, but I can see how many are nervous about my safety. My parents even bought me personal alarm keychain that has thoroughly scared my dog.
You would think I would have as many homemade meals as possible before I leave, but instead I have been eating at all my favorite restaurants enjoying my last supper at each place. I have spent the majority of the week anywhere but my house. Every five minutes there’s something new that needs to be added to my list of to-do’s and my suitcase is growing bigger every hour.
I am so excited to be on the plane and headed to my new home for the next three months. Many people have told me to look up places I want to visit while I am there…which I have in my own way. I know of five coffee shops that I cannot wait to try out! I have spent some time looking at pictures and reading reviews of activities like biking and snorkeling, which seem like great ideas!
The nerves have definitely arrived but I know it’s going to be a great experience. I am get more restless every time I see my suitcases, I am ready for this new adventure!
